DESCRIPTION :

Explore with us one of the most intense places on earth in flora and fauna. San
Pedrillo station is the closest Corcovado National Park Ranger Station to Drake Bay.
It’s the only station where you can enjoy a nice waterfall with swimming holes. In
San Pedrillo is a high possibility to see sloths, anteaters, 3 different species of
monkeys, tapirs, pumas or peccaries.

We are hiking through the secondary and primary forest in a two days adventure
with all the meals and accommodation included!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Day 1: The adventure starts at 6:00am from Drake Bay. We take around 30 minutes by
boat to get to San Pedrillo station. There we will hike around 3,5 hours and look for
wildlife in the secondary forest. We might spot different kind of monkeys,
peccaries, anteaters, coatis and maybe even a puma or tapir. After the first hike
we will have a break and lunch at the ranger station. The second hike we will take
to the primary forest to spot more wildlife and explain about plants and trees of
the majestic 2000 years old nature. We end up at a waterfall with swimming holes
to enjoy the sounds of mother nature.

In the afternoon we take the boat to our sleeping spot in the edge of the national
park, because it’s not allowed to sleep at the ranger station. After a long day of
adventure you can enjoy the sunset with a cocktail or beer from the bar. Around
6:30pm we will have dinner. From 8pm to 10pm we do a night walk to spot frogs,
snakes and it’s a possibility to see tapirs because they are night active.

Day 2: In the morning we start early at 5:30am with the possibility to do a bird watching
tour for around one hour. You can see for example toucans, scarlet macaws,
hawks, and many other birds. At 6:45a.m. we will have breakfast at the lodge.
Around 7:30am we start hiking back to Corcovado. Within 20 minutes we are at the
border of the park. From there we spend another 3,5 hours in the primary forest,
enjoying the majestic nature, learning more about the ecosystem from tropical
rain forest and ending up at the waterfall to have a box lunch and go for
swimming. After we will go back to the station and take the boat back to Drake
Bay where we arrive around 1pm.
