Corcovado National Park – San Pedrillo Station Overnight + Full Day​

Join us on an expedition through one of the planet's most vibrant and biodiverse locations, rich in both flora and fauna. This immersive overnight tour takes you through two stations within the Corcovado National Park. Experience the abundant wonders of the secondary forest at Sirena Station, followed by an enlightening exploration of the ancient and untamed primary forest at San Pedrillo Station the next day.

What to Expect:
​

Day 1: Our adventure begins at 6:00 am from Drake Bay. We embark on a 1-hour boat ride to reach Sirena Station. Upon arrival, a 30-minute hike takes us to the ranger station, where we'll store our luggage at our lodging. Our initial 3.5-hour hike traverses the secondary forest, offering opportunities to spot diverse wildlife like monkey species, peccaries, anteaters, coatis, and perhaps even a tapir. During our lunch break at the station, you'll have 2 hours to rest. Another 3-hour hike awaits in the afternoon, allowing us to encounter more wildlife. As the day draws to a close, we'll witness the sunset from the beach, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. back at the station.

Day 2: We rise early at 4:30 am for a 2.5-hour morning hike. Breakfast awaits at the station at 7:30 a.m. At 8:30 am, we embark on another hike to explore a different trail at Sirena Station. Around 11:30 am, our boat will transport us to San Pedrillo Station. We'll enjoy lunch at the ranger station or a boxed lunch there. The subsequent hike takes us into the primary forest, where we'll marvel at the majestic nature, delve deeper into the tropical rainforest ecosystem, and learn about the ancient plants and trees that have thrived for over 2000 years. The hike culminates at a waterfall with natural swimming holes, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the serenity of nature's sounds. Following a half-hour boat ride, we'll return to Drake Bay between 3 pm and 4 pm.
