From July to early November and mid-December to March, witness the incredible migration of humpback whales as they travel to Costa Rica’s warm waters to breed and give birth. What to Expect:
 

The tour begins at 8:00 am at the main entrance of Marino Ballena National Park. After meeting your guide, a small boat will take you to the catamaran. Onboard, your guide will provide fascinating insights about the park, its famous whale tail formation, and the rich marine life.

During whale season, sightings of southern humpback whales (July to October) and northern humpback whales (December to March) are almost guaranteed. Along the way, you might also encounter dolphins, turtles, and various sea birds. In addition to wildlife watching, the tour includes a designated swimming/snorkeling session to immerse yourself in the vibrant marine environment.
